I’m pleased to announce that LAGER Can was registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 9th September 2026.

One of the benefits of registered charity status is that there is no limit to the amount of funding we can receive in a year (as a small unregistered charity, we were previously only permitted to raise £5,000 per annum). The potential to raise more funds means we can be more creative and ambitious in our endeavours to deter littering and flytipping in the open spaces of the London Borough of Ealing.
Another benefit is that some funders and potential partners can only deal with registered charities.
I’d like to thank Casey Dalton and Keith Hewat of Harrow Litter Pickers and Mark Robbins of Freshwater Foundation, whose considerable help with our application undoubtedly contributed to an approval period of less than a week.
